Before I get into this too much, let it be known that I am an incredibly social person….in REAL LIFE TOO.
I’m not one of those online entities that rolls up into a little ball upon face-to-face interaction…I actually like people. I have friends!
In fact, this is the year that my very best friend and I [...]
I was going to write this whole post and leave a little added blurb about Peyton’s clinic visit today.
But it deserved space all it’s own.
Counts were INCREDIBLE!!
Still cancer free.
Possibly the best three words ever.
I so want to get this made into a shirt for her to wear. EVERY. DAY.
Yeah. My kid is that awesome!!
My worries about Peyton’s upcoming clinic visit and my excitement about the upcoming trip to Chicago for BlogHer collided in my dreams.
I dreamed that she relapsed and I couldn’t go on my trip. I was suddenly plunged back into the world of chemotherapy and treatment and being a fulltime nurse and you know what I [...]
Peyton looked like crap last night.
Walking through the store where she started complaining that her tummy hurt, I looked at her.
REALLY looked at her.
Her skin? Sheet white.
Her eyes? Deep grey circles under.
Just overall feeling like a bucket of poo.
Of course, my heart sinks to the tips of my toes.
And I know that she was tired [...]
I have this thing about trying to find something good out of a situation, even when it’s mostly crap and the good sometimes has to be really lame, like “well, it could have laid eggs in my ear!”
Sometimes it’s not so hard to find the good thing.
When my dear friend Heather lost her [...]

Thank you so very much for your comments. It's helpful to know that Peyton had the leg pain too. Cora falls down all the time and wants to be carried a lot, which is totally not her. AND she totally walks like a duck too! We will watch it and communicate our concerns with the doc! You are awesome! This is awesome! Our clinic in Savannah is so very small that I haven't met any other ALL parents with young children. I hope the house offer went well and that you are on your way to becoming Georgia Peaches! It took us a few years to adjust, but we LOVE Georgia now! Take Care! XOXO- Mandy
Thanks for the update. Unfortunately, I didn't get an Email just the one about joining One Voice so that is why I Emailed again. Yikes! I will send you the address information for Wednesday when I get to the office tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

We are looking at doing the Disney Radio Show next Wednesday at 4 pm at their studio in St. Pete. Are you available to come and speak about the One Voice Project and your other projects to raise awareness? Let me know ASAP so I can get it set up.
Thanks,
Shelley
Hope you had a great holiday. I wasn't sure I could join but thought I would try so I am glad to be a part of this.
Are you available anytime next week to be on Radio Disney? I am trying to put together some adults and kids to do a taping for their Concerned Kids program. Let me know you availability the week of December 29th and we will go from there.
Say hello to the kids,
Love,
Shelley
I've been checking things out a little at a time. And I hope I can help bring some comfort to some. Just thing I needed to help me share our journey.
