Hi Anissa,
The dance classes have been a lot of fun. I walk in there and feel like I'm 5 years old. I've been doing hip-hop, bellydance and tonight I'm going to try the salsa/mambo class. Before kate was diagnosed w/ cancer I used to feel that whatever I did had to have a purpose or a goal. Now I feel that just doing it is its own reward. I would have never done something like this before. I almost talked myself out of it, but the 5 year old in me won out!

Next week I'll do the Zumba training, 2 days. I can't wait.

Hi Angie,
Sorry it's taken so long to get back to this group. I've been a little overwhelmed w/back-to-school.

I have two girls, Belen is 7 and Kate is 4. Kate was diagnosed with an optic glioma (brain tumor) almost three years ago. Since that time Kate has had 6 brain surgeries and 3 different chemotherapies. Most recently we were at St. Jude's May-July, getting radiation therapy. She is a trooper, as all of our kids are. It still is amazing to me that my daughter, and our family, have been through this journey. It's not over, we're still going to get follow-up for many years to come and of course the late effects of radiation. But we're thankful that we still have Kate and our family still here, still fighting and still together.
I hope to get to know you all, love, basi
