I just made $1141 this week working from home for google. I cant believe how easy this is. Im recommending this to everyone, check out this guys google blog makemoneywith-google.com
I'm so glad to HAVE the opportunity to encourage you though this. I can't even imagine not having the support system we've been blessed to have. One big reason why we wanted this community to go up and be available.
I know the leg issues are a non-stop thing, and there are many levels of severity, so YES, definitely communicate those and push for a PT evaluation. But most of the neuropathy issues get better with time, starting in maintenance and then major improvements out of treatment and off the Vincristine. (and I know that sounds like forever, but when we were done, it sort of blew me away that the time had gone so fast)
I'm pushing for more activity here, trying to get more people to be active in the conversation, so hang with us as we learn how to be a group together, ok? Don't hesitate to reach out to any parents you see might interest you, i know *most* of them and they are wonderful.
Our Daughter Krystine had some issues with her legs as well while in the first 6 mths of treatment. At first it was a labored gettting up from a squatting position then not being able to get up at all without help from us. She has been in maintenance for a little over 3 mths and every once in a while she will complain that the top of her feet hurt. No other problems with legs so far, thank the Lord. She plays just as hard as before she was diagnosed in May of 2008. Just make sure you are communicating everything that is happening with the doctors. They cannot help if they don't know.
We DID have a lot of problems with leg issues with Peyton. She would literally be walking and her legs would just crumble, her pain was unbearable at times...we have some friends with kids who just stopped walking. BUT MOST of them, after getting into maintenance or out of treatment are improving.
Peyton still walks like a duck due to nerve damage from the vincristine...but she walks..no, she RUNS...and it doesn't stop her one bit. I feared she would be handicapped from how bad her leg problems were and they are slowly improving month by month.
Have the doctor's get you to a physical therapist...we had exercises to help strengthen the muscles and we had braces that supported the ankles and corrected the wacky way Peyton stood due to the neuropathy.
I hope that helps!
