Hi Penny,

Hope to see you soon. We are doing good. They are definately not excited to go back to school. How about your kids? I have been buying supplies little by little. What is on her IEP in regards to her processing problem? Do they give her more time? Let me know maybe we can come up with some things to tweak her IEP up a bit.

I would think our kids would be on the same protocal. I can't put my finger on her medical book right now.... as soon as I do I will email it to you. I am not going to lie to you. The chemo is tough.... Specially when you have to go inpatient for the drip chemo. It typically takes 12 hours and wham - she was out for the count. They don't release them unless they can drink and eat some - they still release you if they throw up - cuz that is just what these kids do..... Did he have to get the g-tube? Nik was so sick through the radiation that she loss and loss weight. They finally put a g-tube in her right before chemo started. I fought it and fought it - didn't want her to have it. BUT - I have to say - I don't think Nik would have survived without it. She just couldn't keep eating and drinking so I always had the option to hook her up for a slow drip. I hope this helps... pls call if you still have questions 813-416-6767. Penny

After Nicholas' surgery he was diagnosised with Posterior Fossa Syndrome. His whole right side has been affected as well as his speech and balance. He is getting PT,OT, and ST twice a week. Thank You God we have visiting nurse and they come to the house. He is also using his left much more and his left hand is works much better than the right. If you don't mind could you tell me what chemo meds Nikki received. Nicholas starts chemo on Firday 11 and I just don't know what to expect. I hope you don't mind all the questions.
Thanks, Cheryl
